Mrs. Lindsey was born at The Rock, GA, on December 11, 1936, to the late Joe Brown Teal and the late Mildred Kinsler Teal. She was a 1955 graduate of Yatesville High School. On July 1, 1955, she married the love of her life, Jerry Lindsey, Sr. They were married for 64 years, raised a family, and shared a wonderful life. Mrs. Lindsey was employed by the William Carter Company for many years, and later was employed by West Central Georgia Bank and the Thomaston Mills Store where she retired. In retirement she loved her role as a dedicated “Pink Lady” at Upson Regional Medical Center for 20 years, earning more than 3000 volunteer hours. The thing she enjoyed most was the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, volunteering where needed, and participating in the ladies’ group outings and activities. She was loved by family and friends and known for her beautiful smile and for reading her Bible every single day. She always wanted to brighten someone’s day. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Lily. Mrs. Lindsey will always be remembered for her love of her family and the Lord.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Teal, Sr., and three sisters: Martha Sue Teal, Frankie (Donald) York, and Patsy (Curtis) Boyette. She is survived by a son, Lee Lindsey (Sherry Rawlins); a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Connor; four grandchildren: Nick (Brooke) Lindsey, Melissa (Chris) Bedford, Hayley Connor, and Ashley Connor; six great grandchildren: Olivia (Jared) Werner, Carson Lindsey, Mallorie Lindsey, Addyson Lindsey, Evan Lindsey, and Greyson Bedford; and a sister, Barbara Jean Kelly.

The Lindsey family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Riverside Health and Rehab and to Affinis Hospice of Columbus for the care, love, compassion, friendship, and memories they provided to our Mom and MeMaw/MeMe.
