Mr. Ted Benson Bishop, age 64 of The Rock, GA, passed away on July 6th, 2026.
Those who knew him well knew that Ted was no stranger to hard work. He was a man who knew what he wanted, how he wanted it done and why his way was the best way to do it. Debating with him was often a losing battle, but his stubbornness was born out of a genuine desire to see things done right and to protect the people he cared about. Underneath that famously gruff exterior was a heart of absolute gold and his friends and family loved him all the more for his steadfast resolve and dedication.
If Ted had a single weakness, it was his grandchildren. They were the singular force capable of instantly melting through the stubbornness. To them he will always be their beloved “Papa T”. He cherished every moment spent with them.
When the hunting season ended and the day’s work was done, Ted could reliably be found in his favorite chair tuned into a classic Western. He lived his own life like his favorite films: with honor and an unspoken readiness to stand up for the people he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Bishop; children, Chase Bishop, Amber Rose Glover; son-in-law, David Glover; his treasured grandchildren, Caleb Bishop, Adam Bishop, Dahlia Glover, Oliver Glover, Salem Glover; parents, Ben and Jane Bishop; sisters, Tracy Bishop and Lindy Harrison; and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
