Thomaston Awarded $900.000.00 CANS Grant

The city of Thomaston has been granted $900.000.00 by the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission (SCRC) and United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA RD).

 

In a letter to Thomaston Economic Development Director Taylor Smith The department said,  "We are pleased to inform you that your organization has been selected to receive a Childcare Access and Nutrition Systems (CANS) grant. This award recognizes that your project aligns with the priorities identified in the cooperative agreement between the two agencies and the CANS Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)."
