Thomaston Police Department Investigating Stabbing Incident

THOMASTON, GA. — On Thursday evening at approximately 8:36 p.m., officers with

the Thomaston Police Department responded to 328 N. Bethel Street regarding a

reported domestic dispute involving a physical altercation.


Upon arrival, officers observed two adult males engaged in a physical altercation in the

foyer of the residence. After separating the individuals, officers determined that one of

the men, identified as Johnny Durham, 66, had sustained stab wounds inflicted with a

large sword. The alleged offender was identified as Flash Revere, who was taken into

custody without further incident and transported to Upson Regional Medical Center for

treatment of injuries he sustained during the altercation.


Officers immediately rendered medical aid to Mr. Durham until emergency medical

services personnel arrived. Mr. Durham was subsequently transported by EMS to

Matthews Field, where he was airlifted to a medical facility in Macon for further

treatment.


Investigators with the Thomaston Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division

(CID) were notified and responded to the scene. Investigators are processing the scene

for evidence and conducting interviews with witnesses and residents to establish the

circumstances surrounding the incident.


This investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional information will be released as

appropriate and as the investigation permits.
