Tony Blake Gibson

Mr. Tony Blake Gibson, age 76, passed away June 29, 2025. Tony was born in Barnesville, son of the late Aubrey Lee Gibson and the late Elizabeth Ennis Gibson.  Tony lived most of his life in Barnesville and Thomaston. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Tony enjoyed fishing and anything to do with cars, from body work and repairing motors to buying and selling them.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Gibson, and all of his brothers and sisters including his baby sister, Gail.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Kristie and Michael Ard of Griffin; his son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Kristie Gibson of Alabama; former wife and close friend: Patricia “Shorty” Gibson; stepson: Scotty Gibson; grandchildren: Dylan Hutchens, Kaylee Forbus, Chasity Gibson Cameron (Kyle), Blake and Seller Gibson; great-grandson: C. J. Cameron; four step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at a later date.
