At approximately 4:30 AM this morning, Northside Fire Rescue was dispatched to the intersection of Hannah's Mill Road and Fallin Road for a report of a tree on a vehicle.
Units arrived within minutes and found a passenger vehicle trapped beneath a large pine tree that had fallen across the roadway. The tree was also entangled in downed power lines and fiber optic cables, creating a hazardous situation for both responders and the occupants of the vehicle.

After confirming that all occupants were uninjured, crews stabilized the scene and coordinated with utility personnel. Once it was verified that the power lines were de-energized, firefighters safely removed the tree from the vehicle and assisted the wrecker service with removing the vehicle from the roadway.
With the assistance of the Chief's tractor, crews were able to carefully remove the large tree and clear the roadway, allowing EMC personnel to safely begin repairs to the damaged utility infrastructure.

We are thankful that no injuries occurred and appreciate the cooperation between emergency responders, utility crews, and towing personnel in bringing the incident to a safe conclusion.
