Mrs. Uldine Bankston Brumbeloe, age 81, of Molena, passed away April 27, 2026, at her home. A lifelong resident of Molena, Uldine was born to the late Lester Bankston and the late Ona Mae Alexander Bankston and was born and passed away in the same home.
She was a 1962 graduate of Pike County High School, where she excelled at basketball. She went on to build a long and dedicated career as a dental hygienist, beginning with Dr. Dewey Jones, Jr. in Thomaston. Over the years, she worked alongside several dentists, eventually retiring from the office of Dr. Frank Kirby in Zebulon. Her patients loved her for her gentle manner and genuine care she showed for others.
Music was one of Uldine’s greatest gifts. She was an accomplished pianist and faithfully served as a church pianist for more than 50 years. She began playing at Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene in Meansville and most recently at Beulah Baptist Church in Molena, where she was a devoted member.
She and her husband, Raphael, enjoyed traveling. Above all, Uldine’s life was centered around her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking them to get ice cream as often as she could.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Brumbeloe and her sisters, Joann Swygert and Ruth Purvis.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Raphael Brumbeloe; children: Ray Brumbeloe and Gina Lynch (Chad); grandchildren: Nathan, Abigail, Ryan (Anna-Marie) and Austin (Kait); brother: Hollis Bankston (Millie); many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11 a.m., in Beulah Baptist Church, 7327 GA Hwy. 109, Molena. Rev. Jim Pitts will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Uldine will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service to lie-in-state.
