Upson-Lee NJROTC Precision Team Finishes #15 at Navy Nationals

The Upson-Lee High School NJROTC precision team recently competed in the 2026 JROTC Service Championship (Navy Nationals) in Columbia, Missouri, earning a top-15 national finish among the country’s most competitive programs. The two-day event, hosted by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), was held at the Missouri Marksmanship Education Center and featured 21 teams from across the United States. Competing in the precision division, Upson-Lee posted an impressive aggregate score of 4,389 to secure 15th place overall. Leading the team was senior Jayla Smith, who delivered the squad’s highest individual performance with a score of 1,110. The strong showing highlights the dedication, focus, and discipline of the Upson-Lee NJROTC precision team as they represented their school and community on the national stage.
