CITY OF THOMASTON TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON FY2027 BUDGET

CITY OF THOMASTON, GEORGIA

FISCAL YEAR 2027 (FY27) BUDGET REVIEW & ADOPTION

(January 1, 2027 - December 31, 2027)

PUBLIC HEARINGS ON FY2027 BUDGET: Two Public Hearings will be held on the

FY2027 Budget and are scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. and

Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the City County meeting room located at

106 E. Lee Street, Thomaston, GA 30286 on the main floor. During the beginning of these

two scheduled City Council meetings, a public hearing will be held where the Mayor and

City Council will receive both written and oral comments about the Annual Operating and

Capital Budget for the City of Thomaston, Georgia.

BUDGET ADOPTION: The Mayor and City Council of the City of Thomaston are

scheduled to hold a first read and potential adoption of the FY2027 Budget at their regular

City Council meeting on December 1, 2026. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the

City County meeting room located at 106 E. Lee Street, Thomaston, GA 30286 on the

main floor. If necessary, the Mayor and City Council may hold a second read and adoption

at their regular city council meeting on December 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the City County

meeting room located at 106 E. Lee Street, Thomaston, GA 30286 on the main floor.

CITY OF THOMASTON PROPOSED FY2027 BUDGET AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW:

The FY2027 Proposed Budget will be available for public inspection during normal office

hours on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the following location: Office of the City Manager,

106 E. Lee Street, Thomaston, GA 30286. An informational summary on the FY2027

recommended budget can also be found at the city’s web site www.cityofthomaston.com
