Spalding County, Ga. — The Spalding County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to the potential for severe winter weather, including freezing rain and hazardous road conditions.
The closure is ordered by the Honorable Scott L. Ballard, Chief Superior Court Judge, in the interest of public safety. Officials are closely monitoring weather conditions that could make travel dangerous across the county.
The courthouse is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., pending improved conditions.
County officials appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation during this temporary closure. Individuals with urgent matters are encouraged to contact the Clerk of Court’s Office by phone or visit the official Spalding County website for updates and additional information.
