The Peoples Bank of Georgia Provides a Fifty-Thousand-Dollar Donation to Upson Regional Medical Center Through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program
THOMASTON, Ga., Sept. 14, 2026 — The Peoples Bank of Georgia’s Thomaston location generously donated $50,000 to Upson Regional Medical Center (URMC) in a display of its commitment to investing in healthcare in the community it proudly serves. Made possible through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program, this donation will support URMC’s ongoing transformational projects to enrich patients’ access to comprehensive care.
The Peoples Bank of Georgia City President Nathan Gaskin, Loan Officer Ben James and Loan Officer Levi Long presented the check to URMC Chief Executive Officer Dan Owens and Chief Financial Officer Jason Gassett.

Georgia HEART allows businesses and individuals to redirect their state income taxes to eligible rural hospitals. Through this program, businesses like The Peoples Bank of Georgia receive state income tax credits while partnering with local healthcare systems to strengthen patient services close to home.
