TPD Investigating Shooting Incident

THOMASTON, GA – The Thomaston Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred late Thursday evening in the 400 block of North Main Street.

At approximately 10:22 p.m., officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the

area. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately rendered aid until emergency medical personnel arrived on scene.

The victim was transported to Upson Regional Medical Center for treatment and is

currently reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and have

been working diligently throughout the night to gather evidence, conduct interviews, and

follow investigative leads. At this time, investigators have identified persons of interest

and are actively pursuing additional information related to the incident.

Due to the active and ongoing nature of the investigation, specific details regarding the

circumstances of the shooting, potential suspects, and investigative findings are not

being released at this time.
