Upson-Lee High School Announces Mr. and Miss Upson-Lee, Senior Favorites and 2026

THOMASTON, Ga. — Upson-Lee High School is happy to announce the 2026–2027 Mr. and Miss Upson-Lee and Senior Favorites, along with important information surrounding this year’s Homecoming Week. Each of these represents an important tradition at Upson-Lee High School and provides an opportunity to recognize our students, celebrate our school, and bring together the entire Knight community. From honoring members of the senior class to a week filled with Homecoming activities, ULHS looks forward to celebrating these traditions with our students, families, alumni and community.

MR. AND MISS UPSON-LEE

Upson-Lee High School congratulates Chestin Howard, who has been selected as Mr. Upson-Lee, and Laila Foster, who has been selected as Miss Upson-Lee. These honors recognize two members of the senior class chosen to represent Upson-Lee High School.

2026–2027 SENIOR FAVORITES

ULHS is also proud to recognize this year’s Senior Favorites:

Boys: Cason Waddell, Chastin Haynes, John Bentley, Kingston Hollis, Jy Garmon, Jayden Dugger, Jaxon Creamer, De’Quavious Hamilton and Trent Hill.

Girls: Bella Parrott, Reese Streetman, Allie Richmond, Fallyn Riney, Cylin Bunkley, Ansleigh Ford, Georgia-Gale Hammack, Hadley Chastain and Tekelli Garland.

Mr. and Miss Upson-Lee and the Senior Favorites are separate recognitions from the annual Homecoming Court.

HOMECOMING WEEK

Upson-Lee High School will celebrate Homecoming during the week of October 5–9, leading up to Friday night’s Homecoming football game at Matthews Field.

Students are encouraged to participate in the Homecoming Week dress-up days:

Monday — Lights, Camera, To-Knight!Dress as your favorite movie or TV character, or your favorite musician.

Tuesday — Dynamic Duos To-Knight!Pair up as a famous music duo, iconic movie/TV duo, or celebrate Twin Day with a friend.

Wednesday — Prime Time PrepSuit and tie, school uniform, or your best preppy look — dress for the premiere.

Thursday — Stream Team Thursday!Rock your favorite team jersey or Knights spirit wear.

Friday — Live From Knight Nation!Head-to-toe purple and white — show your Knight pride, no filter needed.

HOMECOMING DANCE

The Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday, October 3, officially kicking off Homecoming festivities. Tickets are $40, which includes admission to the dance and a Homecoming T-shirt.

HOMECOMING PARADE

The annual Upson-Lee Homecoming Parade will take place Thursday, October 8, bringing students, families, alumni and the community together to celebrate the Knights.

PARTICIPATE IN THE HOMECOMING PARADE

Schools, clubs, organizations and businesses are invited to be a part of this year’s Homecoming Parade. Those interested in participating should complete the 2026 Homecoming Parade Application. The entry fee is $20.

PAINT THE BANK

Following the Homecoming Parade, Upson-Lee seniors will continue one of the school’s longest-running Homecoming traditions with “Paint the Bank.” For decades, members of the senior class have gathered at the north bank of the end zone at Matthews Field to spray paint their names and leave their mark as part of their final Homecoming at Upson-Lee.

Paint the Bank will begin approximately 15 minutes after the Homecoming Parade ends and will last exactly one hour. Only current Upson-Lee seniors will be permitted inside the stadium area for this tradition.

Seniors must bring their own spray paint. All spray paint brought into the stadium must be used or otherwise disposed of before leaving, as students will not be permitted to leave the event with spray paint.

HOMECOMING GAME

Homecoming Week concludes Friday, October 9, when the Upson-Lee Knights host the Spalding County Jaguars at Matthews Field.

2026 HOMECOMING COURT

The 2026 Upson-Lee Homecoming Court includes representatives from each grade level.

Freshman: Ashleigh Hamilton, Ariana Walker, LaNiya Ellerbee, Adalyn Rowe, Isabella Creamer and Ivonne Rosas.

Sophomore: Lundon Price, Emma Harris, Adelyn Bishoff, Kate Weason and Kaleah Dixon.

Junior: Jakhia Lyons, Audrey Hemphill, Aubrey Tucker, Keyshay Carter, Baleigh Wesley and O’theriana Wellmaker.

Senior: Tekelli Garland, Laila Foster, Allie Richmond, Bella Parrott, Zy’kira Mitchell, GG Hammack, Hadley Chastain, Leilah Kirk, Layla Woodard, Fallyn Riney, Kaysia Durham and Reese Streetman.

The Homecoming Court will be recognized during the halftime ceremony of the October 9 Homecoming game, when the class princesses and the 2026 Upson-Lee Homecoming Queen will be announced.
