Mattie Lizzie Henderson Wohner, affectionately known as “Pete” passed away November 11, 2025. Mattie grew up in Pike County, daughter of the late Harold Henderson and the late Maude Fogerty Henderson. She moved to Griffin in 1965, where she lived for many years. In her early career, she was a disk jockey for WGRI in Griffin and WDEN in Macon and later worked for the Bibb County School System until her retirement in 1998.
