Mrs. Mary Ann Carroll, age 70 of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Harborview Nursing Home. Mrs. Carroll was born on December 5, 1955, in Upson County, to the late Jimmy Wallace, and the late Earline Carroll Wallace. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her cousins, Susie (Ray) Lowe, Jimmy Carroll, and Misty Dunnahoo all of Thomaston. As of Monday, Sept. 14th, Upson County’s tax digest has not yet been approved by the GA Dept. of Revenue. Several factors caused a delay in the submission of the digest; mainly the new property tax legislation that resulted in tax assessment notices being sent out later than usual and then allowing for the 45-day appeal process to be completed.
